Our client is one of the largest, most complex financial institutions in the world, with businesses across retail and corporate banking, global markets, insurance and wealth management.

Operating in over 60 markets, with as many regulators, serving 40 million customers.

The challenge

With new dynamic competitors, changing customer expectations, complex regulatory and security challenges, our client’s IT estate was too slow to respond and evolve. They needed to test new concepts, move away from monolithic solutions and pursue new ways of delivering services for their customers.

The solution

Airwalk Reply began a global programme to pursue a Cloud First strategy for the client, setting up relationships with the major platform providers, establishing new ways of working, architectural and security principles, and setting up the framework for the bank’s rapid and game-changing move to public cloud.

The outcome

Over 40 live business services, including mission-critical applications, hosted on both AWS and Google, with a pipeline of more than 100 services across all three major CPSs.

We reviewed and implemented over 30 cloud services for consumption by our client’s project teams, alongside the core security controls, tooling, pipelines and financial framework for the client to globally scale could adoption.
