AirWalk is an award winning, independent consulting firm with a history of enabling business transformation through technology innovation and bespoke programme delivery. Operating from London and Hong Kong, we are growing rapidly and have gained a reputation for effectively delivering complex change and digital transformation inside the world’s largest organisations.

We aren’t one of the big names with loads of funding, but we are quietly working away on some of the most high-profile, complex global technology programmes. We like to think we are one of a fairly small number of organisations doing enterprise cloud adoption “right”.

Our business is filled with incredibly smart people, and we have worked hard to create an environment where everyone feels empowered to produce great work. Our talent acquisition team plays a central role in our strategy to hire and retain the best people, and we are looking for an exceptional recruiter to join us with a particular focus on scaling our Cloud Engineering capabilities.

About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head of Talent to develop and improve recruitment strategy and processes
  • Employ innovative sourcing methods to help us highlight, attract, hire and retain top DevOps and Cloud Architecture talent on a permanent basis
  • Build and nurture a community of technologists via your relationship building skills and use of technology, industry events and marketing
  • Assist in the growth and running of a recruitment marketing strategy across multiple channels in order to position us consistently and accurately in the minds of our candidate community
  • Highlight, plan and attend networking events such as meetups and expos as an extension of our wider brand planning, in order to ensure you maintain a pipeline of passive and active candidates across the community
  • Pro-actively headhunt – you won’t succeed if you’re used to being able to post a job ad and wait for responses. It should be second nature for you to employ all pro-active, outbound sourcing methods
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders up to partner level to define requirements and manage a slick hiring process to tight timescales, always being mindful of scheduling challenges
  • Represent our brand from first contact to first week and beyond. You are the first contact our future employees have with us and it is crucial that you reflect our culture and values in every interaction
  • Work with the Head of Talent to help create and promote content as part of our brand marketing strategy, including “day in the life” and “meet the team” articles and videos and a monthly internal newsletter

About you

  • At least 4 years’ experience in either an in-house or agency recruitment role, with a good understanding of the Software Engineering, DevOps and Cloud markets.
  • Current and proven experience of hiring permanent DevOps and Cloud Engineers, with a demonstrable network in the space
  • Contract recruitment experience, agency or in-house
  • Experience working in a small business with a “roll your sleeves up” attitude to your work and the ability to work autonomously
  • Ideally experience working in a tech start-up
  • Experienced and confident in conducting technical pre-screens and first interviews
  • Comfortable liaising directly with experienced Engineers and an innate understanding of the tooling employed in a DevOps practice
  • Strong understanding of using an ATS – we use Workable
  • Highly pro-active in using LinkedIn as a sourcing and branding tool
  • Experience of attending or running industry events and meetups and success in using them as part of a wider sourcing strategy
  • Highly organised and a good communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive and flexible approach and a passion for helping a business grow
  • A Bachelor’s degree
